SOME's Trot for Hunger is a 5K run and family walk held on Thanksgiving Day to benefit the homeless and poor in Washington, DC. The Trot provides essential support for SOME's programs for the poor and homeless and helps ensure that hungry District residents have a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day and every other day of the year.
We all know that there are many adults and children in our community who are hungry and homeless. Unemployment and a lack of affordable housing have led to a significant increase in the number of homeless families.
You can help support people in need by making a tax-deductible contribution in Shiloh Baptist Church Representative, Jaz Thompson's, name or by registering to participate in this year's Trot for Hunger. Your support makes a world of difference in the life of a child or adult in need.
